How Long Does it Take to Charge an EV?

Charging an EV can take as little as 30 minutes or as long as 24 hours. The exact time depends on when you charge, where you charge, and the size of your EV's battery. Also it's helpful to know the three levels of EV charging:

• Level 1: This is the slowest form of charging and utilizes a standard 120-volt household outlet.

• Level 2: This level speeds things up considerably. Level 2 integrates a 240-volt charging station that you can either install at your home with input from our Jeep service center, or find in a public place such as a grocery store or parking lot.

• Level 3: This is the fastest way to charge an EV. Also called "DC fast charging", Level 3 is only available at public charging stations - most of which are located along highways.
